I haven't been paying too much attention to the news this weekend but here's a threesome of outrage. Not necessarily in this order:
1) What business does John McCain have calling his VP choice his "soulmate?" Is he really just a dirty old man who needs to have beauty contestants around him at all times? (Note: rhetorical question)
2) George W. Bush and Dick Cheney will not speak tonight because they want to...appear as if they give a shit about ANYONE as a hurricane approaches NOLA? If the phrase "give me a fucking break" had not been invented, I am quite confident I would have invented it today.
3) John McCain, looking like he'd just lost his dog (oh wait, that's all the time), talks about how he's putting on his "American hat" in response to the "tragedy" of Hurricane Gustav...before the storm had made landfall in the US. First, could he have made any more political hay out of this? And why isn't he wearing his American hat all the time. It takes natural disasters and the like for him to do that?
What outrages me most? Thinking about the hundreds of thousands of voters who are actually fooled by all of this. AGAIN.
